Our current car, Endurance, debuted at the July 2019 Formula Sun Grand Prix. Endurance was built in record time, going from the drawing board to the Circuit of the Americas racetrack in barely over a year. Nonetheless, our third-generation car offers substantial performance and efficiency improvements over Odyssey, and opens up exciting opportunities for future iterations and optimization.
Endurance features a complete rethinking of our approach to aerodynamics, with a new carbon fiber monohull aerobody, designed and manufactured in-house. Energy is generated via a brand-new 4 m2 solar array, supplemented by a 2 m2 auxiliary array when the car is parked. Finally, Endurance maintains full electrical compatibility with Odyssey, so battery and powertrain systems are largely interchangeable between the two cars.
