WHO ARE WE?
A group of motivated students who are passionate about advancing vehicle technology through building solar-powered race cars. Check out our progress on facebook.com/gtsolarracing.
TEAM
Our team is comprised of roughly 70 students from over 14 disciplines, ranging from engineering and science to management.
COMPETITIONS
We compete in the American Solar Challenge and Formula Sun Grand Prix against collegiate teams from across North America. We placed 6th in FSGP 2017 and won the Most Improved Award. We hope to continue growing in our successes.
CARS
Our first two cars were SJ-1 Endeavor, built in 2013, and SR-2 Odyssey. We are currently competing with our third car, SR-3 Endurance while we develop our first multi-occupant vehicle.
