Why you should donate?
None of what this team has been able to accomplish would’ve been even remotely possible without the support of you all, our generous donors. We cannot express enough gratitude for helping us get to this race. With that in mind, we are looking forward to a successful 2024-2025 school year and need your continued support as we get SR-4 ready for 2025 and begin development of our next vehicle, SR-5. Thank you and Go Jackets!
What we did this past Summer!
Georgia Tech Solar Racing made it to the 2024 Formula Sun Grand Prix! Not only was it our team’s first race appearance in two years, it was our first time competing in the multi-occupant vehicle category. Our newly completed car, SR-4 Aurora, was the only four-seater MOV at the race. The development process for this car, given its groundbreaking size, has proven challenging and lengthy, so seeing SR-4 finally come together has been extremely rewarding. When we arrived at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY, last week, we still had a long way to go, but thanks to the hard work and dedication of our incredible team, we were able to get Aurora through scrutineering with greens on Electrical, Battery Protection, Array Testing, Body & Sizing, Safety, Driver Registration, and Driver Operations!
Adopt-a-Cell! Donate Below!
What is Adopt-a-Cell?
Adopt a cell is a fundraising opportunity that gives partners the chance to sponsor a cell on the solar car. Not only do the funds help GT Solar Racing contribute to their mission and initiatives, but a partner has the jurisdiction to name the cell and will be informed with updates about the car’s performance as GTSR hopes to advance vehicle technology with solar powered race cars. We would be thrilled to have you as one of our sponsors!
Why should you Adopt-a-Cell?
Georgia Tech Solar Racing made it to the 2024 Formula Sun Grand Prix! Not only was it our team’s first race appearance in two years, it was our first time competing in the multi-occupant vehicle category. We would have not been able to do this without our current sponsors which helped us fund key pieces of the car, accommodations for students, and more. The development process for this car, given its groundbreaking size, has proven challenging and lengthy, so seeing SR-4 finally come together has been extremely rewarding. We are always hoping to push the boundaries of innovation and technology in solar powered cars and your sponsorship helps GTSR achieve this purpose and you too can be a part of the shared mission. Each cell is $100 and these funds will help us fill a major funding gap for us to go to the race this upcoming summer and give our members an amazing experience!
