Georgia Tech Solar Racing is structured into six main divisions: Mechanical, Electrical, Strategy, Race Operations, Business, and Outreach. We also have an Executive Board composed of the President, SR-4 Vehicle Lead, SR-5 Vehicle Lead, and Mechanical, Electrical, Strategy, Outreach, and Business Leads. Within the Mechanical and Electrical Divisons, we have subteam leads that help manage our day to day projects.
Mechanical Team
The mechanical team is comprised of Aerobody, Frame, Suspension, Steering and Brakes.
Electrical Team
The electrical team is subdivided into fousub-teams: Auxiliary Systems, Batteries and BMS, Solar and MPPT, and Powertrain.
Outreach Team
The Outreach Division is responsible for recruitment and the team’s presence both on campus and online. The team presents at sustainability and educational events, spreading knowledge of solar energy to the community.
Race Operations Team
All members are part of Race Operations, and are responsible for the upkeep of the car and its housing.
Business Team
The team connects with our professional sponsors of industry, manages the cash flow for the entire team, and regulates the budget for the fiscal year.
